The Oscars is a chance to praise and applaud the fabulous work of the elite..... the fashion designers. Valentino must have agreed, as he personally escorted one of his signature red looks down the runway. Watching Valentino showcase his gown on host Anne Hathaway, and giving us a few words of wisdom was an added highlight of the red carpet special. Such an honor to be on the arm of a fashion legend, Anne should have considered keeping the Valentino gown on at least for her first moments hosting on stage. It was definitely her best look of the night.
There were a few pieces from MBFW that I was shocked didn't make their debut tonight, but the choices were perfection. High necklines, pastels and purple hues, and sleek silhouettes were trending down the red carpet. Very few flaws (cough! cough!
