Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend an exclusive preview of the unreleased Theodora & Callum Spring collection. With previous ties to Scoop and Project Runway, creators Stefani Greenfield and Desiree Gruber, this line was bound to knock it out of the park! Inspired by travels to Morocco, Bali, and Turkey (just to name a few) and combined with a nod to the late 60's and 70's, this collection is exquisite and not to mention fun!
As I entered the room, I was greeted with the sensation of the exotic warmth, and with the cold rain lurking outside the window, I couldn't have asked for anything more. Oversize scarves lined the walls in a rainbow of colors and eclectic prints. I was given a personal demonstration as to how easy it was to magically turn the large scarf into a flowing gown, perfect for throwing on after a long day on warm sands. The ikat-like and geometric printed scarves have been created in a wide range of hues with perfect combinations of colors from across the color spectrum. I could easily see these pieces used on the body as well as within the home.
A long table stretched through the corner office space, decorated in a large collection of jewelry pieces that have now made it to my wish list. I immediately connected to the 70's inspiration, finding similarities to many pieces that I have stolen from my mother's boxes of period costume jewelry. Large disc pendants on chunky chains, curling serpent earrings, and tribal influenced long necklaces... there wasn't a piece on the table that I wouldn't want to add to my collection.
Photos of the shoes, a collaboration with Stuart Weitzman, have yet to be released, but after having the opportunity to take a sneak peek, I can guarantee that the printed footwear are the perfect topper to any spring ensemble. The shoes will be making their debut in March and I can hardly wait!
This "celebration of dreams and color" makes me even more ready for warm weather. While the pieces maintain a vintage-feel, the color combinations and fantastic prints, keep the collection fresh and up-to-date. The prices are incredible, high quality pieces for prices that won't break the bank. Greenfield and Gruber undoubtedly have created a collection that will appeal to women in all age brackets. Overall, I was beyond impressed by Theodora & Callum and can't wait for my first piece!
The site launches on February 10th, and the pieces will be on the shelves starting February 15th. With the release right around the corner, do yourself a favor... visit Theodora & Callum's website and sign up for their newsletter for a chance to win a $2500 shopping spree! Sounds like a deal to me!
